David Hess, CPA,
CVA, CFE, MBA Joins Hunter
David
Hess, CPA, CVA, CFE, MBA has joined the litigation
and business valuation practice team of Bergen
County-based CPA firm Hunter Group. Prior to joining
the firm, Mr. Hess operated his own consulting
business in Connecticut for several years, providing
advisory services on personal, business, estate,
trust and sales tax issues, as well as business
valuations and litigation services.
“David’s strong skills and proven experience in
business valuations, litigation and fraud
investigation make him a perfect fit for our growing
practice,” notes Michael A. Gould, CPA/ABV, ASA, CVA,
who is Director of Hunter Group’s Litigation and
Business Valuation Services practice. “He is already
assuming an increasing amount of responsibility for
projects and people involved in our specialty
practice. We are very pleased to have someone of his
quality and dedication join our close-knit team,”
Gould concludes.
Before operating his own practice, David had
over 25 years of progressively complex financial
responsibilities and management experience in both
domestic and international business, including 13
years with Pfizer Inc., in Groton and New London, CT
where he served as
Finance Director, Research & Development Division.
David Hess earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Accounting and Finance from Upsala College, and an
MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
A Certified Public Accountant, Certified Forensic
CPA, and Certified Fraud Examiner as well as a
Certified Valuation Analyst, David is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the National Association of Certified
Valuation Analysts, the Forensic CPA Society, the
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, as well as
the Connecticut Society of CPAs and the New Jersey
Society of CPAs. Currently a Connecticut resident,
David anticipates relocating to his native New
Jersey.
